Uninstall updates

Hi all, if I uninstall updates on Gmail app I will loose all my emails or no? Reason why I'm asking is I'm not get any notifications anymore from Gmail app. I clear cache but still not get any notifications. Any advice please? Thanks

If you uninstall updates for Gmail app, all data will be removed. Once you connect back, emails should get downloaded again.

Any data that was not synced (if any), will be lost.

Try resetting app preferences in Settings > Apps > click on the 3 dots in the top right corner > Reset app preferences. Check if this helps.

Do read the consequences of this action.

If you uninstall the gmail updates, you won't lose your Gmail emails as they are not stored on your phone. They are stored on Googles mail servers.

Have you got notifications turned on for Gmail? Settings > apps > Gmail.

All notifications is on, are u sure I'm not lose all my data- emails if I uninstall updates on Gmail app? If I uninstall updates maybe I will start get notifications?

Remove updates.

Emails are not stored on your phone you just see what is stored on a mail server, the only way you can lose emails is if you delete them then empty the trash.

I try not to uninstall updates there was note- all data will be removed!!! Are u sure I will not lose all my data and emails? Thanks

The data its referring to is just the updated files.

You will not lose your emails.

If fact all you can do is remove the updates as the Gmail app can only be disabled not removed and reinstalled.
