I'm planning to get either an older A54, the newer A55 or the S23 FE all in 256GB version.
I understand the 256GB of these phones have the faster UF 4.0.
But is the faster UFS 4.0 worth it? Does it improve faster app downloading, booting, transferring files, etc.?
And will it generally help with a phone's performance or battery life?

As a rule, personal one, I go for latest model/spec

So, you mean go for the one with the UFS 4.0?

I would, yes

@Gino76ph UFS 4.0 certainly will result in a better performance https://thenextweb.com/news/ufs-4-0-samsung-phone-stroage-analysis
I think the choice would come down to the S23 FE V A55 , the S23 FE has the faster processor and so is superior (pay a bit of a premium for that), The A55 does have better Battery life. https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a55_vs_galaxy_s23_fe_exynos_review_battery_camera_price_comp...

It's an annoying thing to decide isn't it.
For an everyday phone that is a balanced between great accurate photos, above average performance and all-day battery life personally which one would you go for?

The way i look at it the S23 FE with Exynos 2200 (in my region anyway) is not poorly optimised. Poor optimisation leads to poor performance. Poor performance leads to poor battery. Would that be a good summation?
I'm not an engineer but do you think it was the fab method? Or Samsung doesn't bother anymore as it's an older chip and they would rather prioritize other models such as the vanilla S-line like the S23 and S24 and not the FE models?

yes I would say so and possibly. The Flagships are obviously the bigger priority but there is a niche market for the Fan Editions.

Would you also say that with UFS 4.0 (and better chipset like the S23 FE or a vanilla S23) would you say there is better heat management and by extension better battery life? Is that a good summation?
