Transferring music

Hi I have a Samsung S23 which will not let me transfer music to it. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Can you explain more. How are you trying to transfer?

Some of my music transferred to the S23 but wouldn't work until I made each song into mp3. I have tried to put some of the music on my laptop onto my phone by using a lead and drag and drop but this doesn't work either.

So what format are your songs in then?

If by any chance  the files were in wma format,  Samsung has not supported these natively on Devices from 2021 onwards, however  converting to mp3,mp4 for instance will sort the issue out.   Samsung Music supports mp3, m4a, mp4, 3gp, 3ga, ogg, oga, aac, and flac.  However third party apps will play other file types.
