Hello,

Has anyone noticed soon as you go 3x the camera quality is shocking?

Here's a couple of videos to demonstrate it. Does anyone else experience this with the s23?

Camera and snapchat camera for demonstration. Snapchat enhances now bad the lens is.

Latest update galaxy s23.

Thanks for confirming that, @Elliottsix. Have you submitted an Error report, so that our developers can take a closer look at this for you?

If you have not submitted an Error report yet, I recommend doing this.

Please let us know when you get this matter resolved.

You can also do this for the other issue you referenced. Some issues require a more granular approach, so our developers will be well-positioned to look into these matters and will let you know the next steps.

As. Mentioned. If you don't get a reply probably nobody has had issues like yours or nobody knows the answer.

In those cases best to submit an error report.

Fair enough. Could this be a hardware fault then with my phone?

It's a known fact that Samsung s video transitions between the lenses are a bit pants ( as you can notice the jump ) I thought this would have improved with the s23 ultra.

Also due to the aperture differences between the lenses and your distance from the subject it will affect your exposure ( 3x you need to be further away and 10x even further off from subject)

I would suggest just using the 1x when shooting video which is the best lens and avoid zooming in and out if possible unless you have very good lighting like daylight outside.

I hope this clears a few things.

Has this been fixed? On my S23 Ultra, with the February 2024 system update, I'm still having a similar issue, which appeared several months ago (after some system update?): when going from 2.9× to 3×, the image gets too bright (more white, less contrast), and the image gets normal again from 9.9× to 10×.

I messaged them back and had a reply. They said the update is coming end of March with a system update. Annoying they can't give the camera update now

On mine, this has never been fixed. The quality is still terribly poor from ×3 to ×10 (not included).
