Hi,
First time I have used Samsung wallet on my S23 which is fitted with a genuine Samsung Smart View case.
No problems in registering my credit card and using quick access. When I authorise payment, the phone and the shop's card reader don't seem to be able to contact each other. The phone shows that it is trying to make payment with the countdown timer working and slight vibration but the transaction never goes through. This has happened a couple of times now. I've never had a transaction go through.
Is anyone aware of a setting on the phone that may be blocking the payment or could it be the case, which is a genuine Samsung case (supplied direct from Samsung).
I should add that NFC was switched off as I assumed MST would carry out the communication. I've now seen on the web that Samsung has withdrawn MST over recent years so I assume that means NFC needs to be switched on? I will check this next time I need to pay for anything, but if anyone has any information on this, again I'd be grateful.
Very grateful for any assistance.

Many thanks - will do so. Probably will not use Samsung Wallet until next week but will report back on success.

I had contacted Samsung help before GreaterGalaxyUK posted and they advised me that NFC should be switched on but that can't be right given GreaterGalaxyUK's comment above.
Anyway, tried anyway again today with NFC switched on - still didn't work. Have now removed the card (standard Nationwide credit card) and replaced it with my debit card. With NFC switched off, all works fine. At least this has confirmed that NFC isn't necessary for Samsung Wallet but may need to reload cards if they don't work first time.
Very grateful for all the help and assistance.
