I bought s25 ultra from Samsung physical shop on 26th of February and I opened the seal but did not download anything on it and I went to the shop to return it but they told me I can not do that because I open the seal so How I can solve my problem?

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

This is fully dependant on the retailer. Maybe try returning online. If they say no, there's not much you can do

Hi there

Assuming you are in the UK.....

I'm also presuming you bought from a Samsung store not from another retailer like Curry's?

As the device isn't faulty, then as you've broken the seal it is no longer "new".

The legislation does not guarantee a return if you don't like something. Especially in this case where there would have been samples to handle in the shop.

So no right of return here.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

And if you were able to return then there would be a restocking cost %20 normally as the seal is broken.

Isn't that just for online sales?

So, the cooling off period doesn't seem to apply anymore when it's been opened. Take a loss on it. Sell it at a bargain price or trade it in for something different. Or maybe carry on with it for a few more weeks. See how you get on. You may change your mind. 👍🏻

I believe this is the difference between online purchases with the 'distance selling rules' with a 14 day cooling period, and buying from a retail store when there is an opportunity to test / try on / inspect the product before the purchase.

For store purchases I believe like piper mentioned... it all depends on the store and their policies. Some are more understanding than others.

He mentioned it being a Samsung store, so I wouldn't be very hopeful. I remember years ago trying out so many different phones with Vodafone and sending them back within the cooling off period, eventually sticking with one. Those were simpler times. 🙌🏻

Such is the nature of the beast. Brick and mortar stores will struggle harder and have been for many years now, no matter the industry.
