So recently my S23 Ultra started to become insanely laggy. I don't know what is causing it but I tried restarting multiple times and wipe the partition cache I uninstalled recent apps and even installed a anti virus to try and see if it's a malware but nothing is detected by the anti virus or samsungs device care. Is there any reason for why it is like this. It's almost unusable

My S23U is still buttery smooth and fast, but if I had your problems. I wouldn't even waste time trying to sort it out. I would perform a full factory reset if mine becomes laggy. I would make sure any important data is backed up first, to either a PC or SSD. I know all my passwords, so a full reset would take me 30 mins to be back up and running again.

Before you take the plung to do a factory reset I would try and Clear the Cache Partition. I always use this method first. It doesn't delete any personal files and it really helps. There are some good tutorials on YouTube how to do this. Good luck

@AriPG

I see you've already tried resolving this issue by clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section.

I would then suggest Safe Mode.

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

These Samsung Support Links may also help.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

Thanks BandOfBrothers, this by far the best advice here. @AriPG. Factory reset is a bit of a nuclear option... it will work but depends on how much work/customisation you have done to the phone. On the other hand ... if it is still sluggish after Factory reset.... then there may be a hardware fault... is the phone under warranty or care package?

Please.check if there is a ONE UI HOME APP update on Samsung store first as that fixes the lag after one ui 6 update.
