S23 Ultra, sleep mode, charging, screen grey

As the title says, when I have my phone in sleep mode and plugged into the charger, after maybe an hour the screen will light up a strange grey colour, any ideas how to fix this?

I think it might be screen savers

Checked both of these, screen saver isn't turned on and can't modify any settings in sleep mode 🙃 so annoying when it lights up grey at like 4am 🤣

It is in the settings in clock, if you click the 3 dots you can set the sleep mode settings, the default is the greyscale, so what it is doing is correct when you enter sleep mode.

Yeah I don't mind the greyscale, I had the greyscale on with my s21+ and the screen never lit up grey, it's as if the AOD is turning grey rather than pure black, very strange, considering doing a factory reset, as I've seen a lot of people saying that using smart switch causes a lot if strange problems

If you have eye shield enabled turn it off. Hope it helps you and make sure to return an answer.

Did anyone find a fix for this? I get this still on latest software. Not a screensaver issue or aod issue.
