It's become apparent to me that my S23 Ultra is the the most sophisticated and complicated mobile phone that Samsung has produced to date.

The problem is that both Samsung and its customer base is treating it the same way as all its other devices and that process is not working for a significant proportion of that customer base.

Some of the issues as I see them are :-

1. It is proving difficult to provide the Security Update early in the month. But often we see non security items added to such updates. Deal with them separely, security is far more important than functionality today.
2. I'm only really interested in the Critical Security fixes, get them out early and roll the rest out when ready.
3. Publish rollout dates for Beta releases. If the UK is not going to get OneUI6 beta before release 2, at least we will know.

Customer dissatisfaction should never be based around a lack of communication.

Sorry. Samsung do specify the update frequency. Samsung do yearly upgrades and monthly patch updates every month while the phone is in support. If you look on the Samsung website and many others it tells you exactly what phones are due to get what and for upgrades a rough time frame. The Samsung s23 series is currently on monthly updates and is due four major Android upgrades. Android 14 is most probably due around October or November time. In the meantime Samsung are rolling out monthly security patch updates for Android every month or at least they are meant to be. For some reason the S23 series phones are currently lagging well behind many other even Samsung phones but only in Europe.
