S23 Ultra camera update

I am sure by now that many, if not most of we S23 Ultra owners have received the February security patch update, but it is worth noting that in this update the camera was updated from version 13.1.00.49 to version 13.1.01.17. Precisely what this camera update was for I genuinely have no idea. Screenshots of the before and after camera versions below.

It does seem to have reduced shutter lag at 200mp

It is good that there is only the one version of the S23 Ultra this year @KirkyLAD so camera improvements can be more focused. Thank you for the shutter lag shout out. 👍

Yes I noticed this. Expert raw also had an update which corrected my continuous shot bug

1. Improved and optimized the quality of the camera photo high-pixel mode.
2. Camera Super Steady image stabilization performance has been further improved.
3. Added trash bin function to Gallery Family Sharing album. (Gallery > Album > + > Family Sharing Album)
4. Camera Photo/Video quality has been further improved.
5. Improved camera operation stability.

For reference, the downloadable Expert RAW app was optimized and distributed to the Galaxy Store.

Does anyone have this 'family album' option btw? Stated to give an additional 5gb storage per family member but I don't have the option?

Is it not a sub option in your shared album option or even your album option Gus?. I have not looked into this menu yet so I would not know for sure sorry?. 👍

This update has made the 200mp shots a lot worse, loss of detail and a cartoon look when zooming in. Will this be fixed?

There will be many software updates for the S23U @wez01, so hopefully your problem won't be a problem for long. I only use 200 Mp mode in bright sunlit conditions myself as it is wasted anywhere else in my opinion. Good luck to you. 👍
