Does anyone know how to change the brightness permanently on S23 ultra please?
My old s8 was great for photos, I take a lot for work of plastic car parts and S8 super bright, clear and sharp.
My new S23 ultra the photos are dark, I've tried pro and it dosent capture the part sharp and clear, the standard camera I can brighten each photo by tapping and moving the little slider, photo is perfect, but I have to do this EVERY time.
Does anyone know how I can permanently save the brightness level or create my own filter for brightness?
Thank you

I'm having the same issue. Have you found a solution?

No not a solution as such, my friend with the same phone had the same issue and they downloaded the google pixel camera app - GCam apk.
They said its much better but It looks a bit too fiddly to install for me.
Samsung replied to me and just said if happens again send error log, I cannot get through to them it's not an error it's the software.
I might try a few different camera apps from play store that's easy to install.

Thank you for the quick response! I'm frustrated. I bought this camera for the camera, and I need an app to get the light levels and colour to be correct?  I appreciate you sharing what you know!

Hi, @TaM44 and @Trish . I appreciate that you would like to adjust the brightness on your photos before snapping them - setting a filter that gives you shots that you prefer. Even though the guide below relates to some older devices, it does provide some helpful steps to get the shots you desire on your phone:

In addition to this, I recommend having a look at the brief guide below, which gives more information about the Scene optimiser feature:

Hi PaulM1,
Thank you for the reply, the links you sent seem like what my older Samsung was like for photos, It was so easy and great photos, this S23 dosent do any of that, no brightness bar that I used to use, or not that I can find. Now I click the screen and it focuses on a spot and you can adjust brightness based on that spot, next photo you have to change it and do it again.
I've tried every filter I can think but it lightens picture not brightens, so it's a little hazy.
I can adjust in paint shop pro but then what's the point I might aswell use my older samsung, though I might have to revert back and sell the S23 if a different camera app doesn't work.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply and send links, I appreciate your help x

Hi Trish, just to let you know I downloaded from play store an app called 'S20 camera' and this has solved my problem, just used at work on parts that I need to photograph and they came out perfect, it's shocking having to download a camera app after paying so much for the phone, I guess not many people take shots like I want so they don't care. Anyway give it a try, I've found it great. SmartSelect_20230424_085713_One UI Home_1000002446_1682323033.jpg

My only solution was downloading S20 camera app from play store, I use that now instead of the default camera app and my photos are perfect now
