S23 FE won't connect to call speaker with any type of ear buds

Hello

I've recently got the S23 FE and discovered it wouldn't work with my ear buds during calls. I could hear people fine but they couldn't hear me, like my speaker wasn't working. However, everything else worked fine and the buds also worked fully on my laptop, inc the speaker function. I assumed they were playing up but as I was getting a new pair of buds that came with an offer on the phone, I thought I'd wait and try those. 

They have come and the same thing is happening. I've made sure the speaker/mic is turned on, made sure everything is updated etc but still have an issue with the speaker function. 

It can't be the buds as again they work fine on the laptop and I'm not sure if it's the phone as the speaker whilst I'm using the handset for calls is also fine, so I can't get my head around why the buds won't work. 

Has anyone else experienced this? I called my phone provider and they hadn't heard of it before and didn't know what to suggest - helpful!

Hi there, try go to Settings >sound and vibration >separate app sound>turn on now>audio device select Bluetooth as.

So your earphones doesn't work during the calls? Like the earphones speakers you can hear people but they can't hear you?

Yes that's right. The earbuds work fine on a laptop, people can hear me in meetings but they can't when I make calls from my phone. Yet the phone works fine without the earbuds connected.

Try connect it then in Bluetooth press the icon on the side setting symbol and make sure all of this is on

Yep, already tried that and also made sure all relevant updates were installed. It's all a mystery 🤦🏻‍♀️
