Hello all!
I am having issues with my new S23+ and receiving/making phone calls with a Bluetooth headset/headphones. The Bluetooth function works fine for everything else, including pairing with my headset/headphones to watch movies or listen to music, and pairing with my car to receive or make phone calls, listen to music, etc.
However, the Bluetooth functionality does not work with phone calls when paired with a headset/headphones. For example, I have my headphones paired and am listening to music. I receive a phone call, or go to make a phone call, and the Bluetooth automatically switches off. If I hang up/end my call, the Bluetooth then turns on, and automatically picks up the music I was listening to/movie I was watching.
This occurs regardless of the type of headphones/headset I am wearing (Beats Powerbeats Pro Wireless Earphones, Sprout Harmonic 3.0 Bluetooth Headphones, etc.).
I have reset/restarted my phone multiple times, unpaired and repaired my devices, nothing is working. Please help!

Hi JCkira - I have tried most of the solutions below and nothing has worked still, any other suggestions? I tried turning on audio option on at a time, audio and then calls, then reconnecting, restarting - still nothing...no sound when making calls with either bluetooth device.

I have continued to try the suggestions in this response feed and still am having no sound when making or receiving calls on my bluetooth devices (this happens on multiple bluetooth devices, not just one set of earphones). I switched on "audio" only then "calls" only, restarted the device, disconnected and reconnected...and still nothing. Did anyone have another solution that worked??

In my case it was Windows Phone Link, even though in its device settings the phone not was to set to not handle calls.
Monday
On the Spanish forum they published this solution: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/otros-galaxy-s-series/llamadas-en-bluetooth-no-se-escuchan/td-p/...
In developer mode, find 'Select Bluetooth SAP Activation'. Select 'Force SAP activation'. By default it is 'Default (no effect)'. It worked for me.
