Hi
I have other android phones which I leave turned off for days and weeks but they only lose 1 or 2 percent charge sometimes in months.
I notice that with the s23 it loses 1 or 2 percent in 24 hours when completely powered off. This only happens with s23. I have RMA the device and they replaced the logic board but this problem persists.
I find it odd like I said I have countless other phones that hold charge for months when turned completely off but not the s23 is there something special with this device or did I receive a bad unit.
Any help would be great.
Thanks for reading.

Any battery, whether it's attached to something or not, will discharge over time. It is what it is. If you could invent the battery that never discharged even when idle, you'd be very rich.
1 or 2 per cent in 24 hours is nothing to get alarmed about.

Hi thanks for replying but like I mentioned this is particular to this device. Not all my other phones or tablets. I have left my tablet turned off for half a year and it still had battery on it but with this phone it has died on me within a couple of weeks. Also it drained 4 percent within 3 minutes of use after turning it on.

4% drain in 3 minutes after power up would depend on the circumstances prior to power up. If you hadn't used the device in a few days, then the battery would have discharged somewhat anyway (as already explained), plus it would have been doing overtime downloading whatever it needed to do since it's last power up eg updates, emails, etc
If you're still worrying, then try the below troubleshooting suggestions.
●Hard reset
With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.
● Cache partition wipe
Plug into a working PC or laptop or other Samsung device

● Safe mode
To rule out any 3rd party apps or customisations that might be causing your issues, please boot to Safe Mode.
To get to Safe Mode - Long press Power button, long press Power off icon, tap Safe mode icon. (When booted into Safe mode you may need to turn off flight mode as it sometimes enables itself). Monitor your battery behaviour. If the issue is fixed, then you know it's one of your 3rd party apps or customisations that were the culprit. It's then up to you to determine which one by a process of elimination.

There's a battery diagnostic in your Samsung members app. Just head to the Support section and tap on Diagnostics. Report back with result.
Take a look at your battery stats, too, for an indication of battery consumption.
Finally, the nuclear option. A full factory reset. Ensure you backup first.

hi I tried all those methods and they did not work.
You asked about my other devices holding charge I attach a photo of my tablet which I hadn't turned on for at least one year as you can see it still had 88 percent.
I have various phones as well which hold charge very well this is my first Samsung phone.
I attach a picture of my Google pixel which I know had 81 percent battery three days ago I turned it on now and it still has 81 percent battery.

I'm also having the same problem with my S23. I had the S2, S6 and S9+. I even kept a A51s as spare. None of those phones took even 1% of battery if turned off overnight. The S23 also have very bad standby time and do not disturb mode.
