Same issue. I'll be making a warranty claim. Completely unacceptable. I bought this phone for the 5000mah battery to ensure I WASN'T tethered to a wall multiple times a day. Deeply disappointed for the lack of public address and pushing of bloated spaghetti code for an operating system.

I had the same issue, it was actually slighly before the update, battery suddenly went from being around 50% when I wake up in the morning to around 10%.  Traced it back via a 3rd party battery app to the Samsung Mail app.  I previously notcied that the app was glitching frequently, saying it needed to re-gain Exchange credentials, pretty much permanently.  Samsung updated the mail app, but in doing so seem to have changed the power access settings - the app is now permanently draining battery, even if you turn off auto-sync.  Uninstalled it, replaced with Outlook, and now back to normal.

Same issue - 60 percent used only 20 percent shown against apps.

Battery is losing charge so quickly the phone is barely usable.

Have cleared cache but still have the problem

People do understand this. A software and UI update has made the phones people are complaining about virtually unusable unless you carry a powerbank or have access to charging facilities. A phone that lasted 2 days on a charge pre- update now won't last much more than half a day. People DO understand this and it is an issue. For you to say people don't understand and there isn't an issue is almost the response of a corporate giant that refuses to acknowledge that their customers are massively unhappy.

Attention Samsung Users

The recent firmware/software update from Samsung has significantly reduced the functionality of our devices. No warning, no option to opt out , just degraded performance after the update.

Under UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015), products should remain fit for purpose even after updates. If a manufacturer issues an update that negatively affects how your phone works, they should either:

  • Offer a rollback to the previous version
    OR
  • Accept liability and provide a suitable remedy (repair, replacement, or refund).

If you're in the same boat, it's worth flagging this directly to Samsung, or escalating to Trading Standards or Citizens Advice if needed.

We don’t accept faulty products when we buy them, and we shouldn’t accept them after updates either.

Same issue here.  Tried all methods except nvr do factory reset. If you have work profile setup, do try disable it then battery drain become normal, but not possible to have work apps (eg. Teams msg) anymore.

I can't see which work apps causing battery drain as battery optimization feature has no work profile apps battery consumption info to troubleshoot.

Hope this helps....
