"Extend Unlock" not working with "Trusted Places" (i.e., Home)

On my Samsung S23 Ultra (through Verizon), the "Extend Unlock" feature is not working with "Trusted Places" (set to my home address selected using Google Maps) while I am home. Even with that set in "Trusted Places" (and being there!), I'm having to enter my phone's 4-digit PIN *each* time I turn on my phone -- even if it's a minute after it was on the previous time. (I also have a "Trusted Device" specified (my laptop which is almost always running), but my phone doesn't appear to recognize that either as I still have to input my phone's 4-digit PIN each time I turn it on.) This is very frustrating!

I bet it wont but would be really surprised if it did.

Thanks for chiming in.

Did Samsung chat support simply have you toggle Wi-Fi, BT, and Mobile Networks?

Or, did they run you through a complete wipe via Factory Reset? It's unclear from your comment, so I'm clarifying how exactly they resolved the issue. TIA

This is so annoying. Setting up a routine, when connected to a specific network or device, seems to be the only workout.

You're right, it should be unnecessary. That workaround has also been the sole method for getting Extend Lock working for me.

Of all the complicated UI bugs in mobile hardware & software, this seems like an easily squashed one

Exact same issue with my less than 24 hour old phone.  If I reboot it works as expected again - for like 20 min. and then quits working.

Exactly!!!! SURPRISE!!

But no no no, it's the way we have the address added to Google and it's not a Tuesday with a full moon, otherwise, pffft, it'd work like a charm. Then they suggest these BS work arounds. What is this, Microsoft??

Time to look at other phones I guess. This is bs. I'm in my backyard or even in my house and it locks up. No more Spotify.

Yes, it's looking that way.

For years I've seen people complaining about the lack of Samsung's customer support for similar issues not only with phones but with EVERY product: phones, fridges, venthoods etc. etc. It's the same sad situation. Then, they spit in your eye and throw rhetoric like " we take customer support seriously", "our customers are very important blah blah blah".

I agree. However the routines functionality does work for me, keeping my phone unlocked based on network, WiFi at home, and location.
