OneUI 6: Where has Finder app gone?

I've just updated my Galaxy S23 Ultra to OneUI 6 but the incredibly useful Samsung Finder app has disappeared.

On older versions of the UI, it provided a deep search of the phone to find folders, contacts, apps etc and you could create a shortcut to it from the homescreen.

It seems it's now been replaced by the search bar in the apps drawer, which is nowhere near as good.

Anyone know if it's still there, hidden away?  Or a decent link to sideload it onto my phone?

Thank you @Iain321 and for those of us who use the swipe up gesture with Nova, the same can be done there too. Go into Nova settings > Gestures & inputs > Swipe Up > SHORTCUTS tab > Activity then follow the same steps above to get to the search activity.

Then you can swipe up from Nova home screen and get to the finder, works great.

Change your home screen layout to home screen only in settings. Swipe up from the bottom and works exactly like finder access.

I have used Nova Launcher for many years and it was always easy to map Finder to a Nova gesture.  I just figured out how to do it with Nova Launcher.  Go to gestures in Nova Launcher, Choose the gesture you like to use, go to the shortcuts menu, select Activity, scroll down to One UI Home, tip the arrow down, and scroll down to locate .search.SearchActivity. That's it.  It works exactly as before.

I have found a good solution

Open the app "good lock" then open "one hand operation +" make a small one-sided handle and make the gesture "finder search"

Today, i tried Ohadn's method of creating a "Finder" shortcut using Activity Launcher app.

I also tried Notget's method of using One Hand Operation app of creating swipe gesture.

Both are not working when power saving is enabled, AND you enabled "Limit apps and Home screen".

Both method works if you disabled that above option in power saving mode. Then again, the normal swipe up from screen to open Finder also works, so you don't need these 2 workarounds. I thought these workarounds is to work for when the above option is enabled (and power saving on)

From the only 4 customized apps to add to the screen when above option is enabled, i can't find the Finder shortcut to add, and the swipe gesture does not work. So looks like we still cannot go extreme power saving with Finder search.

The work around for me so far is to add Activity Launcher app. You need to press it once to load like a few hundred things for like 10 seconds. And then you can search. Don't close this app, else you have to load for 10 seconds again.

if anyone finds out how to open Finder, with the option "Limit apps and Home screen" enabled, please share.

i think i may sye as this was a core feature i use daily and zi simply can't use my phone as i need to like this and its made my phone for me at least no longer the product i paid for and basically inisable. I really depended on this feature abd am severely lost without it for very important things indont likr having a ton of apps on homescreens. this is not what I paid for and as far as i am concerned made my phone unusable fod my needs. Thus i believe a return of investment suit against samsung or seekba court order to return features that were part of the promise of the product when i bought my s21 hell its been a feature with samsung s series since i believe it was the s6 actually.  yes the look and spotting changed but its always been a core amd expected by loyal customers feature of samsun galaxy s models.
