I joined the beta programme a few months ago on the S23 Ultra and the usual lag issues etc

This morning I woke up and I cant swipe right or left on the home screen. It says one Ui home app keeps crashing. I cant click on to most things either. Originally thought it was a screen issue but the touch definitely works

Trying to downgrade but I dont want to lose my data - have tried using smart switch but i need to Allow access through my phone and it wont let me click it

can anyone help?

Beta finished weeks ago. Restart the phone and try to connect via smart switch, create a backup, and then update to final ui6 build

I mean, I think the "Beta" title is extremely important here. Never install a beta on your main phone or regret will be at your door step sooner or later.

As mentioned you should be having the final version by now and there is also an app update for one home .

Have you checked for app updates in both Samsung and Google store?

You also need to check for OS updates either via the phone or through smart switch.

I'm curious about this usual lag. If you feel this is normal for your S23, you might reconsider keeping it. Typically none of my Samsung phones have usual lag, beta or otherwise.

I can't offer any useful assistance, but I thought you'd like to know you're not the only one in this situation.

I've been part of the beta programme for a while with no real issues. But this weekend the phone no longer reads input from One UI's 'user area' of the screen. The digitiser is working correctly: PIN entry works fine, as do the buttons in the Settings quick dropdown, but  as soon as you are looking at 'normal' content there is nothing. As an aside, pen input isn't picked up, either.  My guess is that the roll-out of the final build has caused a glitch in some of the beta handsets. FWIW, my phone was direct from Samsung at launch.

I'm going to take the phone to a store and get them to do a downgrade. At least then I have half a chance of keeping my data.

The problem is that there's no way to allow the USB connection since the screen is not recognising input.  So no way of creating backup.

Hello, I had the same issue and took a very different approach. The S23 has a feature called Samsung dex, which allows you to access your phone fully via a monitor. I plugged in my phone with an adapter to my monitor and used a mouse and keyboard to use my phone lol, and backed up my data through the cloud, emailing myself my password, and other methods to get all the data I needed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a way to solve the problem but I was able to fully back up the data so that if you have to factory reset your phone, you would still have all your data. I Only lost progress in some of my mobile games but otherwise, I had everything else

I also have the one UI 6 Beta
Since a few hours ago my phone froze. I can click some of the icons but it is more or less stuck.
I cannot connect to pc because I cannot click on the screen to accept the message. Any Idea?
All apps are backed up, the only thing I am missing are the photos.

This happened to me today. What worked for me was using an Xbox controller that has Bluetooth and using Samsung Dex on a computer. First I used dex to connect the Xbox controller to my phone through Bluetooth and then I could control my phone and go to settings to download a software update. As soon as I could use my phone normally I opted out of the oneui beta. Hope this helps.
