I've set up a mode in the Modes and Routines app so when my phone connects to my Bluetooth headphones, the mode is enabled and it puts an icon at the top in the same place the Bluetooth icon used to display.
The mode config allows to specify the Bluetooth device so you could have different modes/icons for different devices if you wanted to.

Here to add to the voices that removing the Bluetooth indicator from the status bar is a ridiculous move. Can't believe there are numpties like @Tourbillon De La Vie and @Joeeye defending it.

Such a stupid update.
The bluetooth icon is missing, the wifi calling icon is missing.
Which btain thought about getting things worse???
Is there anyway to downgrade to previous ui?

Just to add my support to the voices that want the Bluetooth (and alarm) icons to show in the status bar.
The fact that someone at Samsung decided that the new UI is somehow better than being able to see - at a glance - the status of your phone's commonly used features is baffling at best. The idea that the user should not have the choice as to what icons should appear on the taskbar is absurd.
I don't consider my taskbar 'cleaner' at all due to the absence of a couple of convenient icons. This update has essentially made the UI more inconvenient for people who regularly use Bluetooth devices or the alarm function!
I love Samsung phones, but this was a frankly bizarre decision.

It's actually an excellent workaround.
Swipe down from the top of your phone, expand it fully and then long press 'Modes'.
From there I selected 'Add Mode'. You can choose what icon appears on your status bar (I chose the note symbol). Press 'done'. Then press 'Turn on automatically' and choose 'Bluetooth device'. Select the device you want the mode to work with.
And viola. When that device is connected, the symbol you chose will appear in the status bar.
Shame I can't do it for alarms.

Another example of a company "fixing" something that wasn't broken... status bar "cleaner"??? I want to know when my Bluetooth is on and whether my alarm is set at just a glance. No swiping. We already waste our soul doom-scrolling and now samsung wants us to scroll because they think hiding those two practical icons is "cleaner"? Look at the screenshot below. Bloody Spotify takes up half the real estate of the status bar. Why would I need to know, at a glance what Spotify is playing, yet have no clue if my Bluetooth is on or not and more importantly to know whether it is connected. I never asked for this. If anything give us users the choice to personalize it. I will look into alternative phones, maybe iphone, they havent changed their UI in 20 years so probably less riks. Samsung destroyed the menu buttons swiping layout, now this. I wonder who takes such decisions and especially under which reasoning?
