I bought the device in Nigeria since last year,  I've not received an update yet

Try using smartswitch on your PC.

As your phone is from different region and now if you live in UK that's the reason why you have not received updates.

I have done that though, no available update.

Won't samsung be shipping updates to Africa?

So device was bought from the same region you live now? Or you bought in Nigeria and now live in other country?

@babyboi if you have a Samsung Experience Store there they might be able to help. 

Another troubleshooting step is to insert another networks sim card in the phobe which might instigate a software update.

Many devices bought in Nigeria actually come from the US region.

We see this issue a lot. Devices imported and no longer in the correct region and updates hard to come by.

SmartSwitch is usually the answer.
