One Ui 6.1 navigation Bar

Samsung S23 Ultra updated today and I am seriously irritated with this update. First thing I noticed my navigation bar, I had the option of swipe or buttons. I have always used swipe for navigation and my recent apps were on the right and my back to the left with home being center. You used to be able to choose left or right for either. Now it is incredibly difficult to get to my recently used apps. Everytime I used the navigation bar it sends me to the home screen. If I wanted to go to the home screen I'd swipe in the middle. Everywhere does it now. Can't go back a page or to recent apps it all sends me home. There's an annoying period where you have to hold to get recent apps to show up. This is stupid and inefficient. Secondly it keeps opening apps up when I'm trying to scroll through my pages of apps that I'm not selecting just trying to turn the page and it's not responding correctly just opening apps. Very disappointed so far and will continue to notice things I hate about this update throughout the day. Wish they would revert the update.

I am only on here to say me too. I hate this new addition of swipe left to right on screen. It is extremely hard to consistently swipe left and right on the screen with a protector. Bring back the old gestures! As a whole I hate hot swipe left right corners of the phone features.

there is a very good change I will drop my phone a lot with this new gesture system.

Hello.  Just upgraded to 24+   regarding the navigation or toolbar.   I am looking to Lock the email phone and text msg icons to bottom bar.  When I open text. Phone or email  and minimize the bottom bar apps continually change.   Unable to return to text app to enter code see screenshot .  No access

•    I have been on phone with technical support verizon and samsung for hours and told they can't figure it out.  I have attached another example of the changing icons at bottom

Hi I'm on s23u. I am not sure you can make it like it was before the 6.1u.

As your phone is new you will need to follow ksmy89 instructions and get good lock and navstar. The post directly below this one should be it. That is what I followed to return my beloved navigation.

I have seen your screenshots now.

I think those apps will change at the bottom unless you go to the home screen. The ones in that switch between apps will change at will.

Not user friendly- very frustrating.  Different apps showing up each time i access.  text access codes to certain apps and unable to enter bc I cannot find the text app.  Should be able to lock in place the  the most used apps.  The display settings has a lock screen to not allow icons to move.  Doesnt work. Had s10 and it was locked .  Sorry to vent on your reply.  Im looking for a fix.
