One hand operation ... ? strange thing happened

I had a strange thing happen today, several times actually, and it looked like a One hand operation issue.  

I've tried to recreate this and haven't been successful.  Perhaps someone can explain what happened.

I press on the power button to bring up the lock screen.  I swiped up on that lock screen and then see a lock screen in one hand operation mode.  I can either move that reduced image of my lock screen left or right but nothing else.  In order to return to a normal sized screen and proceed further, I must first depress the power button to shut the screen off, and depress it again.  

I've tried repeatedly to recreate this but have not been successful.  

Any idea what happened?

I don't think you can. I saw a video on my YouTube subscription who had the beta running on his devices to test them out, and one of the issues he mentioned was the onehand mode.

Keith, I wasn't running the beta version at all.

Hi dave, theres a thing called One-Handed mode in settings, where you either have to double tap your home button or swipe down on the bottom edge of your screen, not sure if its that but you could check in settings to see if its enabled.
