Notification app sound being ignored. Original default notification used instead

Hello,

I've noticed certain apps are ignoring app provided notification sounds and using the original default Samsung notification sound, not even my set notification sound. 

Here's my settings, only fix is to reinstall the apps but eventually they end up with the same bug. 

Latest version of Galaxy S23.

You can change the sound to what like best, there's a long list to choose from, just takes time to go though most of them.

But I want the apps to stay as their default app provided sound. I don't want them to randomly not select, select the original Samsung notification

@Elliottsix  in regards to your recent thread. 

This is the way I choose my custom sounds. 

Settings.

Apps.

Choose App. 

i.e 

Email. 

Tap on Notifications. 

Notification Categories. 

New emails. 

Sound. 

Choose the sound I want. 

My chosen sound then stays at what I want.

There is no option to set it back to the app provided sound.

Having the same issue here. New phone in the last month. The first time I reset the default app notification sound was fine. Now the actual app sounds don't even appear as an available option when I go into the settings to change. Have you found any answers outside of this thread?
