Notification app sound being ignored. Original default notification used instead

Hello,

I've noticed certain apps are ignoring app provided notification sounds and using the original default Samsung notification sound, not even my set notification sound. 

Here's my settings, only fix is to reinstall the apps but eventually they end up with the same bug. 

Latest version of Galaxy S23.

It's 2024.06.15, long time Samsung user here...  I just found that I have no way to modify any default sound for ANY app... All I can change the the default sound for the phone itself.  This was an easy change before... fortunately, all the sounds I changed from a few months ago are still there and functional, I just can't add or change anything.  Seriously???

Just got a new fold 6 and have the same issue, seems a bit rubbish

Default notification sound has been changed and apps still randomly reset to the original Samsung notification sound. Temp fix is to reinstall apps but they'll continue to reset to Samsung original notification sound.
