No sound videos and Apps

Phone often runs with no sound. Watching videos etc. Volume is on and up. If Bluetooth is connected (to any car)and Google maps is running on phone no sound is played??!! Works if Bluetooth turned off! Often don't receive audible notifications when phone is not connected to anything. Beginning to look like this phone is very glitchy and unuasble.

Connected to the car system, so I can answer and make calls hands free, cast spotify through car speakers etc. I basically have to choose to turn blue tooth off to run google maps for directions to be heard. This means a cannot make or receive calls whilst driving to unknown places! At home Bluetooth connects to speakers around the house.
