Hi Guys,

Has anyone experienced any problems with NFC in S23?? Im having massive problems with payments as NFC stops working at least once a week. I have to restart device to make it work again. Extremally annoying! I only got my new phone 3 weeks ago. Any recommendations please??

Another app update and I'm back to square 1 and only able to use my default card. Select a different card in wallet and nothing works. So depressing 😔

An update: I switched from Google Wallet to Samsung Pay and i now have 100% success on TFL and other sources. So now I have a suspicion that this could be software rather than hardware. I now have a workaround that is more than suitable.

I have this issue too.  Checked and removed the case and the glass front, no issue.

Your response is helpful, thank you.  I do find it very inconvenient to carry a card around as a solution to an issue though.

Hopefully this will be resolved as it speaks very poorly to the Samsung product.  The Samsung centre that I went to in July had no idea about this issue.  Not great.

It was working ok for a while but just started to experience it again!
S23 turns up to be the worst of my Samsungs so far!

Just bought my S23 ultra about a month ago and I have already experienced this issues three times. Is anyone even looking at it.

I was hoping that the update to UI6 would solve this problem, but it's still there. Today I tried to use Google Wallet at my local Tesco and I couldn't pay. NFC was totally unresponsive. I uploaded an Error report this time.

Even I have the same problem and when I restart the phone it works smoothly, but the problem is very annoying and I do not know the cause. I also spoke to Samsung customer service and they did not help me. I bought my phone a week ago, the Galaxy S23+.

I have the same problem through the wallet on my s23 ultra but works fine on my wife's phone with the same card attached all icons are on phones updated still same issue

A work-around that I now use when I go to pay, I'll keep my bank app on top but not opened.  That seems to work.

It seems in the last month or so, I go to pay, and nothing happens.  I always understood that the phone screen should be on for the transaction to take place.  That is now causing me problems.

My work-around - when I go to pay I bring the my banking app (ING), though don't log in unless asked, and that seems to do the trick.  I don't know is this is an Android issue, a Samsung issue, or my bank app issue, but that seems to work.
