Hi, after the latest update, my phone has started making a sound every time I unlock it, very annoying.  After searching the web some said it may be the NFC triggering my bank cards.  So I switched off the NFC and the sound stopped.  Great, so now when I go to use my phone to pay for things, I have to switch NFC on and then off.  Who made this dumb change to the software, had no issues before.  anyone any ideas on how to make my phone still usable without annoying blee2ps and buzzes.

Im getting tired of these notifications every time I update something - first the secure folder thing which STILL hasnt been solved and now an NFC one each time that I unlock my phone.
Seriously considering moving to Pixel for my next phone to avoid all this *****

I saw in another thread that this happens when you have (a) physical payment card(s) stored in your case. I removed my payment card from my case and, sure enough, vibrations stopped during the awakening of my ZFold 5. Hopefully they will fix this in an update soon. In the meantime, I will continue to store my payment card in the case and tolerate the annoyance 🙄

I have had my galaxy S22+ for 6 months with a flip leather case that has a slot for me to keep a card (my driver's licence). Never had any issues until yesterday (after the update), now whenever I'm using my phone and the card is flipped at the back, it vibrates or makes a sound! I spent about an hour turning off all notifications and searching through Reddit "why is my phone vibrating suddenly" for me to realise it was just my license causing it. I don't want to turn off nfc because I use it frequently but don't understand why the sudden change causing the trigger.

The phone cover is an official samsung one too. Annoying and hope they fix this.

Do you have a card stored in the phone case? That'll be triggering it.

My sisters just had same issue. Been resolved by removing her bank card from back of case. She's now able to leave nfc turned on and no more vibrations or sounds. Soon as she put her bank card by back of phone, it started again. Hope this helps people

We know its the bank cards - the question is why is this suddenly happening? I've had my cards in there for 2 years now with no problem.

.
I had a small icard thesize of a stamp stuck to the bottom corner of my phone case for opening my front door. I have just taken that off the case and it's stopped vibrating.
