I think the fingerprint reader is probably the best I've ever used. I think the best thing you can do is delete the ones you have, then register a couple using the same finger. That might help you.

Mine is definitely the worst ever.
From Note20, S22 Ultra etc, this S23 Ultra is awful.
I've deleted the prints. Registered once per thumb. 3 per thumb.
It's just been awful.

Hi mate, do you have a screen protector on by any chance? A few people are having issues with the fingerprint with certain protectors. Also, try switching on Touch Sensitivity under Display and see if that could help you.

I registered both of my thumb under fingerprint 1 and both of my index fingers under fingerprint 2 and it is working brilliantly

Fingerprint reader should be excellent. Try redoing your prints and if you use a screen protector it might be worth using the high sensitivity option in settings which is specifically to help solve the problem.
