Music stops playing when screen switches off

I have just got a new S23 and I am having issues with playback (music, podcasts, etc) where it stops playing about 2 minutes after the screen switches off.

I have seen other posts and I have already set my app to "Unrestricted" mode in Settings > Apps > Battery but this has no effect. Is there any way to fix this problem? If this can't be fixed then I have to return the phone as defective.

Which app (or apps) do you use? From my phone,

1. youtube, it won't turn off the screen unless you force to turn off the screen.

2. spotify, it still plays the music after 2 mins.

I use a few different apps - BBC Sounds, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Pocket Casts. Spotify is the only thing that works (they probably pay Samsung to make sure it works). All the other apps stop after 2 minutes. I spent a lot of time with Samsung support on chat and then got fed up when they suggested pointless options.

I ended up returning the phone. I don't understand how Samsung can't get something so basic right.
