Anyone noticed their battery usage really been impacted post-installation of the subject software update? Much higher battery use than before despite optimisation.

Maybe if samsung will start fixing issues, then there will be no more complaints?

Have yet to see any Samsung update that negatively (to any noticeable degree) affected my battery life for any device.

Most perceptions usually coincide with a change in weather, usage patterns or irregular usage, such as a mass update of apps. People tend to hyper focus on the current battery cycle too so it doesn't help objectively. Rare you ever seen actual screenshots of typical pre and post updates usage too, so most "observations" are just anecdotal.

Yes, this update is killing our phones.  Battery charge changed from 1 day to 3 hours, and sometimes drops from 20% to zero.  Utter garbage update.  You are not alone.  Social media it, google it, thousands are disgruntled.  Many many will leave Samsung because of this.

The battery is draining quickly after the updating to One UI 7. It look like can't use the device. The device charging speed reduced as well. The device showing different battery level in. I tried my best to solve from my side. There is no change in the problem even after a factory reset.

After the update your device goes through the learning phase again which can take up to 14 days, there may be a bit of a hit even after clearing the cache partition.

you could also try a Battery  stats Reset, with the Auto Blocker turned off dial *#9900# in the Samsung phone App.  scroll down to Batteystats Reset ,tap that and Restart Device.  This has also been mentioned recently by @lminvti @Moiramon  and  @Piper123   recently.

However there may also be a fix in the works whch will improve matters further. it would though be helpful for Members with pressing issue to attach their Battery stats.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Yeah One UI 7 Loves taking battery life, my S25 with the original one UI 7 update from the factory had great battery life. And I have battery protection, charge it when it hits 20% and leave it in room tempatures every day.

Three months go by, new update, I Install it, and instant battery drainage within a day of installation.

I think samsung needs to start adding larger batteries, like 7000 mAh or just optimise the UI for the battery, it's resulted to the point where I need to limit my background processes when I'm outdoors with no plugs or battery packs.

But I do think it's caused by all the AI features and processing power it takes.
