Description:

Game Booster+ already offers manual screen recording, but it lacks aninstant replay feature that allows users to retroactively save the last 30 seconds to 2 minutes of gameplay. This can be implemented efficiently using Android’sMediaProjection API with a rolling buffer, similar to NVIDIA ShadowPlay or PlayStation’s "Record That."

How It Works:

  • Uses a circular buffer to continuously record gameplay in the background but only saves the last 30s–2min when triggered.
  • Captures the screen using MediaProjection API and stores the data in RAM or temp storage.
  • When the user taps the "Save Last X Seconds" button, only that portion is saved to storage, discarding older data.

Why This is Valuable for Samsung:

  • Enhances Galaxy Gaming Experience – Adds a feature common in high-end gaming consoles and PCs.
  • Bug Reporting & Debugging Tool – Helps users capture crashes, graphical glitches, or unexpected behavior instantly.
  • Optimized for Performance – Uses hardware-accelerated H.264 encoding on Exynos/Snapdragon to minimize battery and CPU usage.
  • Minimal Software Changes Needed – Can be integrated into Game Booster+ using the MediaProjection API with a rolling buffer.
Perfect for Clutch & Funny Moments – Instantly captureinsane trick shots, epic clutches, or funny in-game moments (like hilarious emote dancing with friends) without having to record an entire session.

Request:

Would the Game Booster+ team consider adding this feature? It would greatly improve the gaming experience, make capturing highlights easier, and even help with troubleshooting crashes or errors.
