Google pay seemingly broken s25

Heyo all. Seems one of the new device bugs has shown up. The Google wallet app doesn't allow contactless to be setup on any card.

A quick search shows I'm not the only one, so it seems the security that handles contactless hasn't been updated to support the new phones. Or at least the banks haven't allowed it yet.

Samsung pay works just fine, though the number of supported banks are lower.

I have had issue with my debit card, but had that last year too just have to contact the bank and they reset it

My Amex card went through fine

Same for me, tried with 3 different bank apps, the usual process from their app it calls google wallet to add the card but here app just opens and nothing gets added.

Trying to add them manually, doesn't work either

It's not ideal but i use curve and connect all my cards to that. Then just connect curve to my wallet I

Yeah, that's my current solution. It's just some places block curve cards. So a backup normal card is handy

Delighted with the S25 other than Google Wallet. I have tried every which waway but it won't register my existing cards. Ideas?

Hello 👋 @Jasgalore and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section. 

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

Then if that does not help > https://support.google.com/wallet/thread/260755533/unable-to-add-payment-card-to-google-wallet-on-a-... 

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
