Google Play System Update just hangs on 0%

So I manually checked for a Google Play System update to see if the April one was out yet and it seems it is, however I can't get it to download at all, it just hangs at 0% tried multiple restarts and cleared cache of play store (where it DLs from - notification number dot appears on icon when trying) and play services but still nothing. I'm not willing to clear Play Services data as some suggest elsewhere as I don't want to have to repair and reset Watch. Any help appreciated or anyone have similar issue?

You could try to see if there are any app updates first in the playstore and/or samsung app store and retry the update.
Or
Just wait a couple of days and retry.

No app updates. Got regular system update for April yesterday just wanted to update this also now it's available will keep trying.

Downloaded it earlier, about 8 seconds over WiFi..

Yeah usually it's super quick, tried over WiFi and Mobile Data and both it just stays at 0, no matter how long I wait 🤷‍♂️.

I'd leave it and try next day.
I think it's usually on Google's end of things.
Had similar issues before.
If you're on WiFi, maybe try cellular and the other way around.
If it's a regional thing, you can try turning on the VPN in the Google 1 app

Just downloaded it on my S23 Ultra and Z Fold 4
Both still have 1st March Google Play store update

Maybe I already have it then and it's an error and so that's why it won't download? Because mine is March 🤷‍♂️

The April one probably won't be out yet, I keep getting a update for the March update on Google play system. Iv'e had four for March.

This happened to me. I went to the Google Play app info and cleared the cache and storage. Restarted the app and the update kicked in. I didn't have to reset anything otherwise, including on my Galaxy Watch. Not sure if other watches would respond differently but if that helps, go for it.
