Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members of the community!
Samsung has accessibility options in settings for those who struggle to see. Settings—Accessibility—and in this case, "Vision enhancements"—offer plenty to choose from. For the battery icon, I'd suggest "Magnification" and "Magnifier." I highly disagree with the statement that disabled people don't matter. Samsung offers plenty of accessibility options for as many disabilities as possible. Older/disabled people receive the same treatment as everyone else; you are not exempt from updates nor do you receive special treatment in terms of your updates..
If you're struggling, I'd recommend going on a service called "Smart tutor" a samsung team member will sit and assist you on device and show you around, give you advice and tips.
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/remote-service/This is YOUR phone, but the second you use it, you are asked to sign an agreement for terms of use…and the fact you're here means you signed them. So you're using YOUR device under such an agreement. They are allowed to update and change it as they please- just as you agreed already. This isnt some secret dictatorship- you have a choice to use or not use- same goes for how you spend your money. nobody besides you chooses what you do and dont buy, what accounts you make, what products you use.
I'm unsure about the payment options as I paid outright for mine, so I'm not too sure what happened in your situation.
To put it bluntly, AI is here to stay. Google, which developed Android, added it, so all phones will have it. The only other OS developers are Apple, and they also have AI. The best thing about it? You can simply not use it.
- in terms of such "tracking" go to settings- galaxy AI and turn on "Process data only on device" boom no data sent nor received, but it will limit usability of AI.
IMO, maybe you should get a basic burner phone. I'm unsure how well refusal to accept change will go, but it seems like your best bet..
