After so many disappointment I am planning on getting last year's base Galaxy S23.
Reason for the interest is because of the Snapdragon chipset and size.
Albeit having a really good older chipset, dimensions and battery capacity do we think the S23's battery is that bad?
Is the screen on time and endurance time really not that good?
Please advice.

My only concern with the base Galaxy S23 is the battery capacity. It's only rated at 3900mAh which albeit the smaller size and Snapdragon chipset may not be enough to stretch it through the whole day?
I've probably watched so many battery saving tips that after having the S23 FE and A52s it still couldn't even reach 30% by 7pm.
I appreciate the discussion of battery life is very subjective. But i'm not a mobile gamer, streamer, vlogger or use too much productivity in my tiny device but i still find myself longing for better batteries in my devices.
Putting on a scientist hat is battery life "proportional" to the phone's dimensions, screen refresh rate, actual battery size, etc.?
So, should a 6.1" screen be enough having a 3900mAh?

Upgraded from a S10. I've got it with One UI 6.1 but since this update it seems that it has battery issues... I wasn't good until today (may 7th) (kinda). Here's my usage. I had 5G activated frequently during the day. Bluetooth was always connected to my Watch5 from 7am to 5:30pm. May 4th, I was at home so I only used Wi-Fi. Also, note that I charge my phone at 80%, and when it hit ~40-30% I charge it. So if you charge it to 100% and wait until 20% it'll last a lot longer. In conclusion, the battery life is not very good for me (because of the One UI 6.1 battery drain bug) but it'll be better when Samsung will fix their One UI 6.1 on S23 (I saw some people saying that even with charging it at 80% the phone lasted all day so it will be better when the bug will be fixed).

I try and charge my phones all the way to 100% but only if I feel I will be using it for some "heavy" tasks such as listening to podcasts, watching Youtube videos, recording a vlog , listening to music and nothing else.
I keep my NFC on all the time, bluetooth turned off, 4G LTE (not 5G) when on mobile network, turned off the fingerprint animation, turned off AOD, tuned off charging animation, refresh rate on 60Hz, auto brightness turned off, edge panel turned off, all Bixby stuff turned off, Samsung Pay tuned off, bluetooth & wifi scanning turned off, printing turned off, etc. I could go on the whole day.
If a phone is at 30% by 6pm - after arriving from work i will still not be happy.
I always think a higher battery capacity of 4500mAh or even more plus married it with a Snapdragon chipset + a company that actually pushes updates often is a recipe for an outstanding device. because in that scenario it makes for an environment of a happy customer using a well-optimized device.
