Hi everyone,
Since the 6.1 update i have a fingerprint problem. It fails reading my fingerprint when i try to unlock. I have to rescan my fingerprint to unlock my phone.
It happens all the time. I tried to register my fingers again and it didn't solve the problem.
Does someone have a workaround to fix it ?

Just had UI 6.1 on my A33 phone last night. This morning initially fingerprint sensor did not work. Found that it seemed to work ok for apps. but not the unlock. but I have to say it seems to have settled down as I've continued to use the phone during the day. Find I have to be very accurate with finger placement on the sensor.
I've not gone nuclear yet and made any change will see how it goes.

I have the S24Ultra and since this morning the same problem with my fingerprint scanner (overnight)!
Will Samsung Solve this Problem???!!!

I have a brand new S23 Ultra with the same issue. Patched right up to date.
No screen protector fitted. Rebooting to clear the cache seems to help partially.
I stored all my prints before installing any apps.
Also turning off face detection seems to help.
The test diagnostic sometimes reports Normal, sometimes will just not respond (as if I am not touching the sensor).
Sometimes it works to unlock the phone but then inside an app that wants a fingerprint then it will not respond.
As it works great some of the time I assume this is a software bug and will wait for the fix to come through eventually...

There was a UI 6.1 Software update a few days ago (for my S23+ in Germany) which has solved the fingerprint and some other issues.
Maybe also good to renew the recorded fingerprint in the biometric data settings.

I am struggling to replicate the issue consistently which is also frustrating. For example, bank app 1 won't recognise the fingerprint at all until I use it successfully with another app. Then if I return to bank app 1 and try again it works right away. Pretty frustrating.
