Fast!/ super fast charging not working

Is anybody else having issues with fast charging. When I charge my s23 ultra. It will super fast charge for a few seconds and then immediately stop charging or go to slow charging. This exact same thing happened to my older s22 ultra

Hi If you look at the related posts or search 's23 no longer fast charging ' there seems to be a fix for this issue which involves a soft reset and the processis explained. Hope this helps Good luck

It has been a thing since Android 13, what actually happens is it shows you super fast or super fast 2.0 charging for a couple of seconds as you noticed, and then disappears. The phone still continues to charge at the correct rated as stated but it just says 'charging'

@Haytch: After connecting to your charger, please head to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery, then check the status bar at the top of the screen. Does it say '(Fast charger connected)' or '(Super fast charger connected)' below the charging status bar?

Mine says fast charger although i have a 45watt charger and a 5 amp cable

I am having this same issue, superfast charging is no longer working on my S23 +. For one year, my 23+ charged at superfast 2.0 speeds and now it doesn't even fast charge. I even purchased an official Samsung Superfast charger and its still refusing to activate superfast  charging,  i.e. it only charges at normal (slow) charge speeds. It's nothing to do with Android 13 changes to the charging notification, my phone is literally taking nearly 2 hours now to charge from 30% to full, whereas before it would take around 35-40 mins. I'm going to ask for a repair or replacement.  Samsung quality not what it used to be. Probably battery or USB C port failing.

It's a problem happening only after the recent update. Its a Samsung created problem, and I have yet to see a help or fix resolve this issue. Clean the ports....pffft....

Problem is still present on OneUI 6.1 Android 14. Samsung Galaxy S23
