Facebook messenger notifications don't open when you select them

On my new S23 plus I can't open Facebook messenger notifications from selecting them in the notification area. Pressing them does nothing and I manually have to open the app instead to get to the message. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have the same problem. Not sure if anyone has a solution. Worked fine on my note 20 ultra. Other apps are also fine.

I finally got round to setting up my S23U on Friday and for the first 30 or so hours I wasn't getting fb messenger notifications at all.
Also if I click the messenger option whilst on fb it tells me I need to log into messenger to read my messages. I click to log in, even though I am logged in, and it opens them no problem.
