My S23 keeps having issues with distorted sounds. I've figured out that it's the trapped air in the sim card holder, as opening that up temporarily fixes it. Trouble is I'm having to do that multiple times a day, particularly before a call so I know the sound won't be affected. I'm 16 months into a 36 month contract with O2, if this is a known manufacturers fault is this repairable? O2 want me to send the phone away for assessment & won'tsay if im liable firbthe costs. Anyone else had the same issue and got it repaired outwith the 12 month warranty?

Hi @REDLAB and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👍

I haven't come across the jssue you raise. 🤔

If a fault is covered under the Manufacturer's Warranty then it would be repaired under that umbrella.

However if a phone shows signs of damage from a drop or bump, then expect a fee if Samsung decide the phone needs to be brought back up to warranty standards.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
