Samsung's selective rollout of the One UI 7 Beta is a blatant disregard for its loyal customers. Despite earlier promises of faster updates with One UI 6.0, Samsung is now excluding capable devices like the Galaxy S23 and S22 from the beta program, reserving it solely for the Galaxy S25 & S24 series.

This strategy attempts to coerce users into purchasing newer models, neglecting those who have invested in recent flagships. It's unacceptable for Samsung to prioritize marketing tactics over customer satisfaction.

We demand:

  • Immediate inclusion of the Galaxy S23 and S22 series in the One UI 7 Beta program.
  • Transparent and fair update policies that don't discriminate against recent devices.
  • Compensation for the intentional delay in software updates.

If Samsung continues this anti-consumer behaviour, we must reconsider our support for their products.

Stand with us! Share this message and let Samsung know we won't tolerate this mistreatment!

No because they have never released information until they are ready to roll out updates.
One UI 7 was always going to come out after the S25 series release.
But I'd far rather wait than buggy software to be released.
There will inevitably be bugs found on release, but taking time to make sure its as stable as possible is preferred.
Otherwise they'd have to firefight too much and would take far longer to sort out

Best to be patient no point allowing an an operating system that isn't ready also I'm not sure what advantages the update will actually bring in fact some items may be a little annoying such as the now bar which loads of information such as weather and news which I'm not that bothered about

Have you ever been a software beta tester? I ask this because I have no idea why you think a beta program is some kind of reward or compensation. It is not.

I'm only upset about the delay, but even if there was a beta version, I wouldn't turn my personal phone into a lab cat so to speak, so I'll have to wait for a full firmware, but I don't think this is a reason to be disappointed.

Since 2023 I have owned Galaxy S23 and so far I am satisfied and have no reason or need to upgrade.

I don't work for Samsung and I don't advocate for Samsung, I'm a Samsung fan and this is my opinion, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab A9 User

Oh, look, we’ve got a Samsung spokesperson in the wild!

"Samsung welcomes feedback, but they make the decisions"—yeah, no kidding, Captain Obvious. Meanwhile, people actually asked for the S23 beta, and guess what? Samsung changed their decision.

"You can't be serious? "—oh, we’re dead serious. Unlike your blind faith in Samsung’s schedule, which shifts more than their software optimizations. Keep coping.

Samsung’s reasoning that delayed updates are due to the sheer variety of their phones with region-specific hardware doesn’t hold up when compared to Apple’s approach with the iPhone. While it's true that Samsung’s product catalog is vast, making software adaptation and optimization more complex, Apple faces similar challenges, albeit on a smaller scale. The iPhone lineup spans multiple models with variations in hardware (different processors, camera systems, and so on) and serves a global audience. Yet, Apple consistently delivers timely software updates across its range, ensuring even older devices receive updates concurrently with newer ones. This achievement is the result of streamlined processes and a commitment to user experience.

Samsung, being a leader in the Android market, has the resources and technical expertise to replicate such efficiency. The delay in updates for older flagships seems less about technical limitations and more about prioritization. By addressing this, Samsung could not only improve customer satisfaction but also bolster its brand reputation, demonstrating that it values all its users equally, regardless of their phone’s age. In an era where timely updates are synonymous with security and functionality, this is not just an expectation but a standard.

  1. While I do have a tremendous amount of gratitude for Samsung and their technological achievements over the years (after all they have provided us with some fine handsets), their mishandling of the One UI 7 roll out has been the source of much frustration for many, myself included.

Samsungs very inept bumbling of the One U I 7 rollout has left many of "the faithful" re-evaluating our status as die-hard fans.

I don't know about the stratosphere, but down here on the ground, the prevailing wind is that a great and powerful entity, such as Samsung ,really should have their **** together A little better than this

I think you should not announce a rollout until you can actually roll it out. I understand that 'bugs happen' but it seems there's something more to this situation than just bugs.

Someone clearly dropped the ball.

..... and in the tech world ,

we don't like ball droppers.
