my mobile banking app has suddenly stopped working and always displays the error
To keep your personal information safe this app cant be used on this phone as the security configuration on this phone may have been altered

Have you tried to disable autoblocker in settings or other blockers who might stop app working?

Same here my ulster bank app needed update it wouldn't update so had to uninstall the app now it won't install on Google Play give me steps to try to fix it but didn't work the only thing am left with is factory data reset and i don't fancy doing that can anybody help here ????

this is metro bank. All other banking apps and my work profile is working perfectly so i am sure there is no security issue on my mobile.

Excellent troubleshooting steps suggested by @Piper123 and @lminvti  👌

Another troubleshooting step is > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 

Try clearing the apps cache by long holding the app and tap on i ,  then storage, and opt for Clear Cache, and if necessary Clear Data however that'll mean you'll need to reset up all your logins into the app. 

If that does not help then delete the app from your phone and also from your MyLibrary in your Playstore so that you then download a fresh copy.

Have you got Developer Options enabled in your phone settings?
Having that enabled can cause security issues with some apps unfortunately. If you do have it enabled, try turning it off. Then see if the Metro Bank app is working ok.

Clearing phone cache is an endlessly solution offered here which rarely if at all works. Of the dozens of changes which have ruined my many Samsung phones over the years. NOT one has EVER Been fixed this way.
