Normally I'm the one passing on phone tips to my wife but she just passed on a tip to me that I was not aware of.

A long press on the screen in camera mode brings up lighter / darker control.  I didn't know that.

If this is common knowledge, feel free to ignore.   :smiling-face:

i knew this but honestly never use it, only like once or twice, quite a neat feature though.

I think a number are aware,no harm in sharing  tips that you find useful though.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

This is a brilliant feature and it is good of you to bring it up on here Dave as it can really add a whole new dimension to picture and video taking. I used it today (long hold till the lock symbol turns yellow and then adjust exposure) when shooting video of an abandoned mansion near where I live. I was shooting to capture the dark gloomy mood of the mansion being completely taken over by a dense woodland of trees and bracken and ivy and foliage. I used the Ultra wide lens on my S23 Ultra at 4K 60fps with my exposure lock at or near minimum, which captured the dark forest and dark rooms of the mansion EXACTLY as my eye saw it. Even without switching auto HDR off. The noise control in the footage was truly brilliant I must say, as I expected more of this as a trade off.
It is good of you to post this tip out on here Dave, and I hope someone finds it as useful as I have over the last two years. It takes practise of course, as you also set the focus with the exposure on the main lens etc., so you have to touch and hold the screen selectively. Like you, I must say that I have learnt so many life lessons from my Wife too. And I dare to ignore them at my peril!.. 🤣 🤣 🤣 👍
