Bluetooth connection to car

Does anyone know why my phone doesn't connect automatically to my car. I have to choose my car (VW T Roc) in my phones Bluetooth menu to manually connect and enter a pin. 

My husband has an S20 plus and his phone connects automatically but every single time you have to confirm the pin matches on the car and phone. Why does it do this and not just connect automatically?

Help please, before I throw both phones out the window or is it my car that's the problem? The S20 used to connect ok automatically and I'm pretty sure it was after an update the problem with having to enter the pin started 🙄

Have you seen if anything else is connected from any of the devices to the car.
I think you should see in youtube or contact the Sumsung for more information

Best thing is clear the connections from both devices and the car and start the pairing process again.

I have tried this multiple times, I've even reset my car and phone to factory settings but it makes no difference.

My work phone which is a Motorola connects fine and never asks for a pin

Perhaps a visit to a VW dealer is in the cards?
My S23U works in my BMW and Volvo, automatically.

It could be many devices are connect wth s setting automatic so u should see if other devices are connected and yes then unfair them and connect yours
