Battery has dropped down from 85% to 34% and it was only plugged in 6..30hrs ago.

Anyone can explain and advice why so much in such little time on one of the best phones with 5000mah.

First try looking in the settings - battery ... to the list of apps and see what is draining your battery the most.

You might also want to look at screen brightness, Always on display and other items that might reduce the battery.

You should be able to use the phone in its default state, but sometimes you need to do some maintenance to ensure there aren't any apps running in the background and draining on your battery.

There are too many variables for anyone to be able to tell you why, for example were on on 5g or wifi? In an area with poor reception? How bright did you have the screen? Etc.

Have you got a rogue app in the background constantly trying to sync like Google photos? More information would make it easier to explain, also how long have you had the phone?

Had this phone for only few weeks .

Like you can see mainly used YouTube, and other app amd snapchat for 30 mins.

I keep brightens around 50%.

Main use WiFi throughout the day.

But if you compare to an iPhone 12 Pro max which my friend uses he listen to music for more than 4hrs a day with Bluetooth but still have 30% left at 10pm night with 1 charge.

Why does a phone have 5000mah battery if it can't run without using data for long period of time

That doesn't make sense, something must be draining the battery in the background. I have everything switched on on my S24 Ultra, I am also running 2 sim cards constantly, dual apps, nfc, security, full resolution, Bluetooth is constantly on as my Galaxy watch 6 classic is always connected to it and my earbuds are used for multiple hours a day. On a full charge I average around 22hrs standby and over 8hrs SOT.

When you check what apps are using the most battery you can click on each one for a full break down so how much is being used with screen on and screen off.

Using normal screen resolution, 120hz, brightness more or less 50%, using WiFi mainly throughout the day with sometimes data too, no place in my daily week I go to with low network signals, I do charge to 85% mostly to keep a good life span.

Like seen in first attached image, it just gave me about 5 and half hours screen time. Which I mainly used youtube and audio apps. And the rest 1hr and something on standby. I do use AOD, I have started using the extra dim for a few days.

I have only recently got 23ultra 256gb, so I don't think I will be going for the reset option 😅.

Also a lot of apps are in deep sleep and the rest I use some social apps, no games recently either.

I do have routine enable for overnight so location, camera, Bluetooth, and data off.

Oh I don't use map or waze often either.

And use of camera drains somewhat battery too . I think that is in all samsung phone if not all phones in general

I have the same problem on s23 which is a few months old, after February update the battery lasts less than a half at the same usage pattern. The march update didn't fix it either!
