So, I bought S23 ultra a week back. It was between Iphone 14 pro max and S23 ultra, but literally every review was in favor of S23 ultra battery performance. But tha battery performance is such that, after the application of all the optimization procedure which I read on this community, it doesn't even last half a day with a very minimal use.
Did that parition cache thing too but didn't help. I am even using a different mobile for navigation.
Everyone saying here that it is that new update issue, but when will it be fixed. Its god ***** flagship mobile.

Check this... I had the same problem with the One UI 6.1. Found that it's needs to be activated after the update. 👍1713040083047.jpg

Here's how.

Settings,
Battery,
Charge settings,
Toggle on.

Hope that helps. 👍

So fast charging needs to be turned off, and the battery protection to maximum?
This is what your solution is?

No, fast charging needs to be turned ON. I've turned my battery to basic with Routine/Modes to let me know when the charge is 85% I'm not a heavy user, it works for me.

I already have these settings, but still, the drain is unacceptable.

I'm sorry, the said settings are working for me at the moment, but there is definitely an underlying problem. Hopefully, Samsung will pull their finger out and sort it... 👍

I'm getting a few screen glitches too. I think it's the end of my 'love affair' with Samsung. 😳

I understand your frustration. Many users have reported similar battery drain issues with the S23 Ultra, despite its promising specifications. While optimization steps can help, it's clear that the device is not performing as expected for many.

Potential Solutions and Next Steps:

Contact Samsung Support: Given the widespread nature of the problem, it's essential to report the issue directly to Samsung. They might have specific troubleshooting steps or be aware of a potential software fix.

Check for Updates: Keep your phone's software up-to-date. Samsung might release updates addressing battery issues.

Detailed Battery Usage: Use the built-in battery usage tools to identify apps consuming excessive power. This might help pinpoint specific culprits.

Temporary Workarounds:

  • Reduce screen brightness.
  • Lower refresh rate.
  • Limit background app activity.
  • Disable features like Always-On Display if not essential.
