I have auto updates on but they aren't updating. Is anyone having the same issue or knew a fix please?

I sometimes get this and have to check and update manually. I get it on both Google Play store and Galaxy store.

I've checked each individually and they're all on auto update. I've had the phone near 2 months and it's always been the same. Getting annoying now 😒

Mine, too, and set to update at any time over any network. 2nd screenshot shows some issues that might affect auto update.

I just read somewhere it only does it when on charge. Not sure if that's true, but something to keep an eye on. Another YT clip I seen said to clear cache and clear data of which I've just done.
The problem seems to be across all brand phones, so not S23U specific.

Over the years I've noticed auto update never actually does auto update as and when updates first roll out. I always find they updated on some sort of timed schedule, but I think it goes deeper than that. I think updates to apps on Google play only push if the apps are in regular use and do not flag as unused after some time. So my guess is it's linked with the battery optimisation stuff that goes on under the hood, if you use it.

I thought it may be something to do with that. I didn't want to do every app so I've put Google Play in to the never sleep section, rather than every app, see if that helps.

It's certainly intermittent. Sometimes, they auto update sometimes they don't. Must be something going on in the background when the device is unused. I'll find that when I wake up in the morning, updates have occurred automatically.

You're absolutely bang on there! I've noticed everything you mentioned. One thing I want to add is that some apps or versions rather can not be auto updated or does say when you go into the check for updates section. Unsure why, but those them require the manual updating.
