App drawer layout in One UI 7.0

There's a problem in the last One UI update where the vertical app drawer was introduced.

The vertical layout of the app drawer negatively impacts my user experience. I want to return to a paged layout so I can swipe between pages, and I want to keep my apps in alphabetical order within that paged layout.

The only way to get the paged layout is by selecting sort -> custom. But this messes with sorting, as the default starting point for their custom sort isn't alphabetical. To have my apps in alphabetical order as I did before, I would have to manually sort all my apps alphabetically once in the paged layout, which is a pain.

Suggestion, in case this is monitored: allow users to select the type of app drawer layout they want between vertical and horizontal, and decouple it from alphabetical/custom sort.

It does need the option for both vertical and horizontal app draw to be in alphabetical order. For now put all your apps into a folder in the vertical app draw then switch to horizontal app draw. When in the horizontal app draw delete the folder and your apps will go into alphabetical order.

When you're in the app draw click on the 3 dots in the search bar. Select sort the select alphabetical you will then have the vertical app draw.
