My grandson set my phone up with my fingerprint. This was OK until I wanted to switch the phone off. Now its asking for a 4 digit security code. As far as I know I've never had a code. Now my phone is locked and I can't use it.

Hi there, before setting up a fingerprint on your phone first you need to set up PIN or PASSWORD and then you can set up a fingerprint you might ask your grandson what's the PIN he set up

Forgot to mention that everytime you restart your phone on switch off and back on you will always be asked to enter the PIN who was originally created before setting up a fingerprint. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone. I asked my grandson about the security code and he didn't use 4 digits but 6. That is what confused me. I can now get access and it is so simple to do. I felt I needed some protection from anybody stealing my phone and getting access to all my information.
