When moving photos from gallery to an album, they aren't deleting off gallery

Did anyone else experience this after the latest update? I used to be able to move pictures to an album so that the recent /gallery folder would be tidy and clear but now I have got all the pictures back in the gallery (they don't get deleted anymore when moved).
Is there anything in settings to change this back how it was last week? (Samsung s22plus)

I spoke to customer support and they want me to go into safe mode for some reason but then I'd lose contact with them

The pictures stay in Recent Photos, and if I delete it there it deletes from the album I created to store them. (Thankfully, I only tried one picture, so not too much damage done.)

I am facing the problem that the moved pictures to album from gallery remains in gallery and album, thus duplication. How this can be resolved?

Nope, that isn't working.  reread the question.  Mine is doing (Or not doing) the same thing.  It no longer 'moves' the images to a selected album, it only 'copies' them.

Never thought about it happening after an update.  But that IS when it started, about 2 weeks ago, right after an update.

What a joke samsung, no one can move photos as all stay in recent. Very nice when paying over a grand for a de ice that cannot move a file. Just coping google drive. Need to think for tourselves.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. There are two functions:copy to album and move to album but they do the same thing

This is actually NOT a solution. Let me explain the problem properly... if you have a drawer of socks and you move your socks from drawer A to drawer B, you socks should not show up in both drawers... so again, Under Pictures, it is showing ALL pictures from All albums. It should NOT. It should only show pictures that are NOT part of any albums.
