When is Red not Red?

My red S22 ultra turned up today after a long wait (plenty of threads about that on here already).

Unfortunately, the colour of the phone can hardly be described as Red. It's perhaps Orange, but more like Salmon. This isn't what I expected or wanted. I'm seriously, considering sending the phone back.🤔

Writing this sounds quiet petty, but when spending well over £1000 on a product, I'd expect to get what I paid for. A "Red phone", and not a wishy-washy Orange.

You can ask for a Cashback as you have been mislead by false advertising...

Well I'm on the phone now to Samsung to try and get this Orange phone rejected and replaced with a Green one. Fingers crossed, I'll let you know how I get on - especially @Ana Voorhees  as you appear more upset than me 😞

So I finally got through to a very helpful assistant, only to be told that "the Red (Orange) is an exclusive colour" meaning that it falls outside of an exchange. The Exchange process only offers a like-for-like device < I'm not having another Orange one 😠

I was then told to choose Return whilst the assistant was on the phone, good job as that wouldn't work either. So she manually created a returns code, an email turned up within a couple of minutes. 

I now have to create a completely new order and get in the delivery queue again. I'll likely get a reduced trade-in now too, but I just couldn't face having that colour for the next two years. Good luck guys

I understand why people are upset about the red colour. I wanted red but then I saw Samsung’s picture on the pre-order page, and it was not red, but the colour does match the picture they showed when selecting the colour.

This is Samsung’s own picture. I do not think that they can be accused of false advertising.

Ooooh I bought the red one because I wanted an orange one! Lol. I thought it wouldn't matter if I didn't like it as you get so many foxy colour cases. Although....mine still hasn't arrived and not getting any informative emails.  I keep going to cancel it as I think I was insane paying 1.5k for the phone when I could have got a gaming laptop!  Then I watch a vid on the things the camera does....so I don't cancel it.  

The excitement has gone now though. I hope I don't get a faulty one.......lol

I would have ended up getting a skin for the phone if i saw that colour 😂

I was going to get the sky blue at one point, but just felt like i needed to be on the hype when it all started, rather than wait another month and be late to the party 😅

I'm sure i would have still been waiting for my phone right now... 😬
